Victoria's Secret Etc, Etc (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

^No, not until the first piece of news about the show comes out.

Another event:
The Angels Are Landing! Join us for the Grand Opening Victoria's Secret at Yorkdale Shopping Centre--and meet Supermodel Adriana Lima. Adriana will be signing autographs on Opening Day (26th) from 1:30-3:30pm.

Where are the events? It looks like the first one is in LA, is the second on in NY? Where is the Yorkdale Shopping Centre?

And the first one is August 26th in Canada
The second is September 14th in Los Angeles. :)

With Adriana's kissing faces, Alessandra's 'look at me' poses and Chanel trying to act like the Angels, Candice & Erin will just fade into the background.

I just saw Erin and surprisingly she looks healthy and curvy ....otherwise, Chanel with her skinny legs and arms leaves much to be desired!¬¬

Nah, Chanel is tiny. She's never had much of a body. She's very lean. I think she's better for the PINK as is Erin & Lindsay IMO.

Can we open up the VSFS 2010 thread now?
starting work on the next Victoria's Secret Show 2010! X about 16 hours ago via Facebook
Source: ManikMercian's Twitter (They do the costume jewlery for the show. The one you will most likely remember is Selita's Black Tie ensamble from the '08 show AKA the piece Lara Stone wore in the pictures she's suing French Playboy for.)

Chanel seems pretty nervous and scripted in that interview, but in the end she's pretty charming. Erin just seems bored out of her mind. Candice is great.

Erin seemed the best to me speaking-wise, but they wouldn't let her talk! She was the only one who didn't seem nervous to me.

She wasn't nervous because she seemed stoned haha jk. It's funny how these girls all speak better English than Ale and Adriana, but at least they're no longer nervous in front of the cameras.

haha:lol:

they might not be nervous but they all certainly lack that extra special something that Adriana, Alessandra and the previous angel line up had. They seem very generic, very little personality except for Chanel Iman, but she does not fit in at all.

well, they did a good work, so I think this is a great incentive to say that this starts on the right foot!^_^

I don't know if this is a serious question but I vote no until a real announcement is made like who gets the miracle bra or who the musical guest is, I don't even think it should be opened when the location is announced.* The reason why I say this is because when the thread opens there are going to be a gazillion posts speculating, or expressing wishful thinking for your VS favorite about stuff like who gets the miracle bra, who will open the show, who is making a big comeback, who is retiring, who deserves to _____, who doesn't deserve to _____, who has the best relationship with the company and execs, who rocks the VSFS best, who is an embarrassment at the VSFS, who is an angel, who isn't an angel, who is going to be an angel, picking apart tweets and interview comments, etc. and there will be a thread with the title 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show with no real news about the event until page 20.

To me there is nothing at all wrong with discussing any of the topics I just mentioned and I know I will be adding my two cents, but I think that a thread should not be opened until something REAL happens that can be discussed, kinda like the rules are now about not opening a thread for a new issue of a magazine or a runway show until you have relevant pictures.

* I know this is probably when the thread will get opened, but I just don't see it as meaty enough.

It wasn't a serious question. And there's going to be speculation regardless unless the thread is opened like the day before the show or the day of which I guess wouldn't be bad, but everything would just go on in here until then anyway.

Yep I agree that the speculating will go on regardless in either this thread or the new thread - although I do think it gets amped up when the new thread opens and that is OK, I just have a thing about if this is someone's first time visiting a thread then the first few posting should be "real" and substantive information and discussion about the thread title / topic. Now if it eventually goes off the rails into random discussions then so be it, that is the nature of a discussion forum.

^I´m agree, the new topic should be opened with real and interesting info.
My suggestion is that it should be opened until after NY fashion week (september), many of the models that do well in this week tend to be those hired to do the show (at least speculation will be more accurate:innocent:)
