Also, Lindsay Ellingson isn't in the holiday commercial, I'm pretty sure, and yet Lily Aldridge is. Are they shuffling around their contract girls, perhaps?

I wonder if VS will try to push Katsia like they did Candice - give her two good outfits in the show and get everyone talking about her? It worked for Candice...the first year she walked, I don't recall anyone saying anything bad about her.

Lily A being in the commercial doesn't come as a surprise to me, they've been pushing her a lot since last year's VSFS (in which she had the worst walk out of all ), but I had never even heard of that Katsia girl before. She's pretty, but I agree that she looks like a commercial version of Natasha Poly.
VS is seriously confusing at the moment. Who are the current Angels anyway? I feel like the'll just use whoever is available for all the events and commercials.

Last year opening was memorable ? Oh please. Anything but memorable. Yeah VS can be blamed too - having BEP on stage performing like they did, they totally outshined Ale for sure. But having said that a good model with a great runway presence would have worked it and rocked it regardless of who else is on stage. Which she did not. Alas. Wish she did.I understand the love but not biased adoration and denial of obvious things.

I said that the opening segment was memorable. Of course it is all a matter of opinion and I am not trying to get anyone to drink my kool-aid, but rather than make generalizations, I substantiated my opinion when I commented on the strengths and shortcomings / limitations of the models being discussed. Yes I advocated for Alessandra and said that she had a good walk, but I did not effusively praise her opening, I said that she set the tone and did not do a bad job. I also said that she was the right choice to open the 2009 show but noted that being the right model to wear a neon kite on your back (thanks melissablu) is not really something to hang your hat on. I also acknowledged without any criticism or resentment that Adriana will probably open the 2010 show.* So I do not see any "biased adoration" or "denial of obvious things," and again am not the one making generalizations.

As a aside, who opens the show thing is not one of my VSFS hot buttons, yeah I take notice of it and comment on it, but it is not one I the things that I get all that worked up over. I am interested in other aspects like the Fantasy Bra and am rooting for Alessandra to get it, but still knowing how things go I won't be upset if another angel got it; now if one of the new girls other than Candice got it (for reasons already discussed), I would be upset.

*In one of my comments I mentioned Alessandra and 2010, but that was a typo and it was clear from the context that I was referring to the 2009 show.

Unless Alessandra has shot a separate Xmas commercial with a different director (this is starting to sound ridiculous) she won't be in the Xmas commercial. She isn't in any of the group shots and I don't see her popping up anywhere.

I really think the 2008 xmas commercial, the one with all the pink and Adri's ending was the best so far. It was so beautiful. Last years was way too testosterone driven. It was more of a superbowl commercial rather than an xmas commercial.

I'm very curious to see what this years theme is. Maybe Ale is doing her own thing you know? What if she isn't even gonna be in the show!

I'm thinking Dri got the bra...she's doing tons of launches this month and we don't even know about October, and this is usually when they promote the wearer. Esp with her headlining the Christmas commercial

Well I've seen cuts of the commercial, and the bra is NOT in it. Adriana headlines it, lots of blondes and no Ale. I think the only time they featured the fantasy bra in the Christmas commercial was in 04 when Tyra wore it. Other than that normally it's not in the commercial.

From what I've seen from behind the scenes edits and etc it's going to be very christmasy and whimsical. Christmas lights, white horses, lots of beautiful red lingerie. Really big gorgeous white wings (reminds me of 03)

I was with you until the comment, "she has no runway presence" with which I disagree, but whatever, moving on.

I hope Doutzen and Miranda are incorporated in the show, actually I would not mind if one or both of them walked, visible baby bumps and all. Of course that is only if it is something that they are physically and mentally comfortable with.

Both of them will be in their third trimesters at the time, and that's a little too much. I don't think America/CBS is ready for a visibly pregnant woman in lingerie on primetime television. Heidi (2003) and Oluchi (2006) have both walked the show while pregnant, but neither one of them were showing in a major way.

Will be missing Doutzen and Miranda, honestly! I know these two will probably lose their angel status soon (hope I'm wrong), but it's not like they're not blooming, especially Miranda...

Actually they are part of my perfect angel line-up atm... That being:

Adriana Lima - best girl in the pack, hands down. I'm biased, but hey, VS seems to agree!

Miranda Kerr - she can portrait the innocent girl look VS is trying to get with all these new (boring ) girls. And she is gorgeous and funny. And she's getting more and more famous.

Doutzen Kroes - that classic beauty and delicate persona are an awesome refuge from all those jumping and pointing teen girls! She's got poise and class. That's a lovely way of sexiness! Plus, she looks amazing next to Adriana!

Rosie Hungtinton - She's sexy and quirky and still a nice girl. Plus, she's getting a lot of press lately, which is good for VS.

Candice Swaneopoel - She WORKS it. Period. That body is ravishing and she's sweet and still huble!

That's it! 5 angels! A year ago I would add Emanuela de Paula to the list, but where is she now? She would be an awesome addition too!

If you want some angel for pink, I'd suggest Lily Alridge! She's cute and intelligent and seems a truly role model from what I've heard!
