The reason it's on TV and the reason it still exists today and hasn't been cancelled yet is because of its over the top outfits, beautiful models, and current performers. Whatever VS does these days is about ratings. That's why it's not like any year prior to 2005/2006. A regular fashion show would bomb in the ratings. They need all these outrageous things to keep the average american audience who knows NOTHING about fashion interested. Sadly they don't put these shows on just for us here at tFS.

It's a paradox that despite having to go that way to make a more mediatic show, the level of the angels is on the ground. I don't think that many straight men find Chanel Iman, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge or Miranda Kerr attractive.

Mirandas attractive. Ale was when she was younger. Chanel and Lily are ok.

After all the hype about Karlie, I'm not convinced from the pictures, so I'm hoping it's just that she's not great in the still shots. Lily D, Bregje, Toni, Ieva and Doutzen are my highlights, and I'd love to see more VS work from Bregje, Toni and Ieva!

did you ever think that maybe sometimes, people, such as jersey shore, real world, to name a few, USE stupidity to get viewers? i mean, you'd think society would never watch and sink to the level or enjoying such an extravagant costume show, but you can't deny CBS gets killer, growing numbers of viewers each year with the VS show..

Stupidity is certainly safer than evoking sexuality but it requires just as many brain cells. Viewers would respond to a stupid show with the same immediacy they would respond to a show charged with sexual content (which wasn't even the case here) but clear enough, the parents association (whatever the name is) would much rather teenagers to be entertained than to be turned on by models in lingerie (look at the havoc after the 2001 was broadcasted on ABC). I'm guessing VS has to do this kind of spectacle (+ disguising lingerie with balloons and whatever's available) in order to continue to be broadcasted on primetime television, not so much for the intellectual capacities of their viewers.

Thankfully, for people interested in seeing lingerie and a quality show to display it, there's Etam.. excellent casting, non-trashy guests, in-demand models, nice lingerie to lust after, elegant locations.. they're occupying a place Victoria's Secret once did, but who misses them?!.

The music I remember taylor momsen for the first segment, kanye perform during super angel, california king bed from rihanna for passion, adam levin move like jaeger for aquatic, nicky minaj super bass for pink and first born this way and then S&M for the final.

Alessandra has been on numerous GQ covers, I know that Miranda has covered GQ as well. Lily did the VS cover of GQ with other angels, and IIRC along with Candice got the most images.

Miranda was featured in GQ three times in 2010 including two covers, Alessandra has probably around 5 GQ covers & they are always in every 'Sexiest List', so im sure a lot of guys find them attractive
