Oh Vogue Paris...
I'm sorry but French ELLE is better than Vogue Paris.
Every single month it's the same thing: L.A., Vegas, Greece, Monaco or Saint Barth.
The same "gil in paris wearing jeans with beautiful hair".
A "bored bourgeoise" jewellery ed...etc.

Thank god we have Numero.

^^I recognize Adrienne Jüliger on the third shot and maybe Rianne van Rompaey on the first one?

^Also Steffy Argelich.

And how absurd was giving Mica the cover over princess Rianne!

^Julia Hafstrom is on the 4th pic! :flower:

Testino's ed looks really good! I love it! Mica looks really good and Rianne always delivers!

Sims ed is stunning, the opening double page spread shot of Andreea is perfect!

i take back my comment the preview did this issue no justice

i LOVE the main editorial this is the best thing testino has done in ...a while! :P and love hana's editorial and love malgosia's too

My fave editorial is the Sims' one, the other are kind of boring. The story with Lara & Edie is a total copy of another ed from 2006 of the same mag & the same photographers with Raquel Z., Malgosia & Carmen Kaas.

Am I alone in thinking this is an attractive issue? Maybe a little less than exciting, but the stories all look good to me.

Perhaps I'm getting forgiving in my old age.

Am I alone in thinking this is an attractive issue?

You're not. To most members here the cover is wrong on multiple levels, but to me this is exactly why it is attractive. Yes, it is tacky but it this right kind of tacky. It doesn't look like covers are supposed to these days, and it is why I find it refreshing.

Testino's editorial mgiht not be as fun and full of energy as his early 00's work but it is an improvement and a step in the right direction.

I love this issue as well, and I'm young.

Also, the model with Andreea is Frederikke Sofie Falbe-Hansen.

Wow. The issue is a good one imo! Testino did a great job! Very beautiful indeed! The filtered red shot would've made a better cover. The cover in full looks like an editorial shot forced to be a cover. There are so many better cover options. But oh well, at least the editorial delivered!

Andrea's editorial with Sims is wonderful! Jane How really delivers. Inez's feature is also beautiful. We've seen it before but it's undeniably beautiful still.

The rest of the editorials still feel like a Suzanne editorial. The only ones with the VP identity / touch are the editorials of Geraldine, Alt & Jane.

Suzanne's beauty feature.. What?

Finally Testino did something decent, I liked his ed. Sims' is my fav, Andreea and Frederikke look fantastic. Also Malgosia, but I'm tired of Pennetta's style. It's not a bad issue, imo.

Loving the dramatic 80s vibe of David Sims' editorial, some of the pictures are amazing (the MJ one ). I will never abide by Emanuelle's styling but the Testino feature is quite enjoyable...Rianne looks gorgeous in these shots.

The shot of her sitting down with the man does reek of Albert Watson plagiarism to me though, which irks (see below).

Overall a pretty good issue IMO though.

And how absurd was giving Mica the cover over princess Rianne!

Defies logic, I tell you!! Why not put her on the cover with Mica at least, especially when her shots are so strong. Anyway, some shots from the cover edit are good. Nice play with colour, but we've seen this before from Testino

The rest of the fashion features are really basic, like something lifted from an H&M campaign/random global Elle. It's too 'real' for my liking, in the sense that there's zero aspirational factor and these girls looks like everyday women. Don't know why Vogue is booking Angelo so much lately.

I looked at the Sims preview with Andreea and loved the sensuality, only to find that there's nothing expanding from that shot. Just your typical Sims feature.

And how absurd was giving Mica the cover over princess Rianne!

This! I was so hoping Rianne would end up on the cover when I heard she was shooting for VP in Mykonos. The picture of her in pink dress or one of the b&w shots would make for a fantastic cover. I just hope she would become a VP regular and eventually get the cover one day ^_^ But yeah, great to see some new faces in VP, Rianne, Frederikke, Julia, Adrienne.

i'm in love with the editorial of mica by testino
was afraid not to love it because of the cover but wow so much energy !

The standout to me is the beauty ed with Emily. Just gorgeous.
