^ we're talking about VS' biggest stars. Ale is a star herself, also outside her work. When it comes to launches and stuff it was most of the time Adriana and another Angel. And during VSFS it was always Heidi..

Now that the two of them are preparing to give birth. Marisa & Ale are really standing out! I am not saying Ale isn't a star, but she is not the biggest star of VS. (Come on, the woman never wore the fantasy bra..heck the woman never opened the show. In 2005, 2006, 2007 she didn't even open a segment)

I agree that Adriana's speech/accent isn't the greatest, but it's definitely better than say Ale's or Gisele's when she was with them. I was listening to them all talk the other day and Adriana has definitely improved.

They all improved. I think Ale did very well on Alexa Chung. Anyway.. talking about accents. I can't hear an accent when Heidi speaks.. I think that's just amazing. When I hear her talk I seem to forget she's from Germany.. from all the girls who are from another country where English isn't their language..Heidi is def the best. Though Gisele still has a little accent, her English is way better than Ale or Adriana's.

I hear Heidi's accent, but it's barely there. Haha, you can hear it when she's really excited. I don't know. I think Ale is really lazy about her speech and Gisele talks too fast and uses her hands a lot. Adriana seems like the one who really thinks about what she wants to say and how she says it and she pronounces the words better.

^ haha never noticed the Heidi-things.. going to watch very criticly next time haha.. Adriana sometimes talks a little i don't know.. Last year they talked about being on the runway and Adriana didn't know how to pronounce responsability and I hear her saying a lot of English words that aren't correct, but you are right. So IMO I still think Gisele is better in pronouncing words. But Adriana is very calm and relaxing when she talks so yes at that point Adriana is way better than the other girls.. Ale looks like she wants to go to bed sometimes when she speaks and you can hardly see Gisele's face cause her hands everywhere when she talks hahahah

I find it hard listening to all the angels talk. Marisa's rich american accent drives me insane sometimes. Miranda accent can get a little sickly after a while and Doutzen's is just . Heidi's accent is a mixture of German and Californian. A lot of the time I'm like . Adriana & Alessandra's accents are so thick. English-wise Adriana is better than Alessandra. Adriana seems to surround herself with people who speak english, but I think Alessandra surronds herself with Portuguese-speaking people.

Alessandra is one of VS's biggest models, but I don't think their stars/personalites. She's all over the catalogue (drives me insane) but in the 8 shows she's been in, she's opened 1 segment and closed 1 segment. She doesn't go on the talk shows as much as the others I don't think. Adriana & Heidi on the otherhand.....

Ale closed more than 1 segment.. She closed one in 2006 and one in 2007. Opened one in 2008. You are right tanii..she is the biggest model but not a star like Heidi or Adriana.

But now that Heidi & Adriana are pregnant.. you see a lot more of Ale! Yay!

I agree with you, Tanii. About Adriana surrounding herself with people who speak English. Ale hangs out with mostly Brazilians and she seems to spend more time there than Adriana does. Maybe that has something to do with it! I also agree with you, HM about Adriana's voice being more relaxing. Gisele and Ale are so loud. I would be really worried if they don't give Ale the Fantasy Bra this year. Not only because it's her 10th year, but because they've been using her a lot like they did with Adriana last year. I'm just saying, if I were Ale and this year they gave the bra to Marisa or Doutzen, I would catch the only b*tch fit! I kind of want Doutzen to get it though.

Maybe it is next year. I'm not sure. What I mean is that they've been insinuating it basically, so for her to not get it would be messed up. I think something really shocking is going to end up happening. I can feel it. Hardly any news about it and the news we do have came really late, we don't know who is wearing the bra yet and we already knew this time last year. Something is going on, I tell you.

Now that you mention it... what if they gave the bra to a non-Angel? Or give the bra to Emanuela.. as a way to officially introduce her as an Angel.

I don't think they would do that. I mean, I would hope not because it would be so unfair to some of the other girls, but you never know these days when it comes to VS. I love Manu though and I actually wouldn't mind that, but it's just not fair when you think about it!

If they don't give it to Alessandra, I can imagine they wait til next year. But then it would only be fair if they give it too Marisa or Doutzen.. and let Ale at least open the show this year!

If they don't give it to her this year, I don't think she'll get it next year either. I have a feeling Heidi is on her way out. If not this year then next and you know they have to make it all about her. Plus, if Adriana isn't walking this year then next year would be her "comeback" even though she'll definitely be at the show this year doing who knows what. Why not Miranda? She was an Angel before Marisa, right?

Depends on how you look at it. If you think the Angel-status counts than yes than it's Miranda's turn. To me it's about when they started working for VS.

According to Wikipedia:

Marisa started working for VS in 2001 first runway 2007, also the same year she become an Angel.
Doutzen started working for VS in 2004 first runway in 2005 and became an Angel in 2008.
Miranda started working for VS in 2005 first runway in 2006 and became an Angel in 2007.

So as far as I can see.. Marisa really worked her way up.. so IMO after Ale it's Marisa who deserves the bra, if not than it's Doutzen. but like I said it's how you look at it..

I never really thought about it like that before, but unfortunately, I don't think VS goes by how long you've been working for them. I don't think they go by anything when it comes to the FB. If anything, popularity in the media. The person who works backstage and on the costumes had said they had three people in mind, so that just goes to show you. Haha, I wonder if girls ever ask for it. That would be funny. Adriana was shocked, but I know she was thinking "Well, it's about damn time!"

^ Well I think look at the publicity now. Why did they gave Selita the bra in 2007?? Rumours has been that they gave it to her cause of her relationship with Nick Cannon back than... because of the publicity! Hope that's not true..
