Love how they just hired a handful of new girls, and yet it's still just a couple of brazilians, 1 black girl, and ALL white girls.

Where are the asian girls? Liu Wen or Hye Park or Du Juan could look just as good. Daniela de Jesus is a very beautiful Mexican girl.

I dunno, I just thought VS would be a little more diverse by now. Esp. with so much blonde.

(That being said, I think Lindsey is a smart choice... the prettiest blonde of all the Angels, I'd say.)

Victoria's Secret set to open on Regent Street

The Brits are fascinated with all things Victoria’s Secret. Pictures of near-naked lovelies parading down glitter-strewn catwalks fill our magazines.
Its models and their figures become household names (How quickly did Heidi Klum snap back in to shape? Is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley busty enough to be a VS girl? Baby girl for Adriana Lima! Will Alessandra do another Next campaign?). Men’s mags aside, it’s an odd crush for women to have – especially when the label isn’t even stocked in the UK. Well according to reports, that’s set to change as the all-american brand have expressed interest in setting up shop in London.
Limited Brands, owner of Victoria’s Secret, are looking at locations on Regent Street to launch themselves in to the European market in 2011 – supported by a next-day delivery website. So expect bus-loads of tanned, lithe Victoria girls parading through west London at the launch, fuelling our desire for brightly coloured thongs.
We’ll certainly be there to see the show.

Guys Marisa isn't an angel anymore, right?! On vsallaccess they removed her from the angel list.

On Larry King Live last night Tyra said that VS had a way of measuring which angels (and presumably models in general) moved the merchandise, so while of course I don't like it from a human standpoint, the VS angels are the best paid models in the industry, so you gotta be able to earn that seven-figure salary. Although if Marisa is leaving so abruptly there may be something else afoot than just not performing up to expectations. The thing about Marissa is that she, along with Heidi, was their most articulate spokesperson so severing ties without another well spoken not!Heidi waiting in the wings seems a bit odd.

If Marisa is leaving- I don't think it was Victoria's Secrets choice, I think she wants to maybe settle down this year, who knows? I just don't believe it was, or would be VS choice.

I too doubt VS let her go. As mentioned, she was articulate, dare I say, a very good spokesmodel for the brand. She's got the whole-some girl next door image. She's not some exotic looking bombshell that intimidate the rest of the female population. For a small amount of the population, she is them. I think that's why Heidi is so popular too - customers relate to her curvaceous body as they do Marissa's sun-kissed friendly freckled blond face (although with the amt of time she must've spent in the sun, that could probably be cancer, but that's not the point).

I don't disagree, my post was in response to posts in the other thread (there were too many of them to bring over) about VS harshly dumping models. I was just making the general point that if you are getting VS Angel money, then you gotta deliver by moving the merchandise.

Now when it comes to the situation with Marisa and VS parting ways, it happened so abruptly that it seems like something unusual happened.
