I actually think that Etam show was poorly arranged.

all of the artists sang longer than the models appeared, which means they could've been spaced out better. and there were traffic jams of models on that runway at every segment, I think they had way too many on the runway at any one time.

The lingerie do not look anywhere near as good as VSFS at its height. Etam had time to study VS and leapfrog them, and I don't think that happened.

EDIT: I did like the model casting, though. Definitely more Asian faces than just Liu Wen at VSFS

^ I definitely agree that they focused to much on the musicians and that the models were coming out too many at a time, but I liked how the actual outfits were just simple. no doubt VS is better lingerie-wise, it's just that you can hardly even see the product because they cover it with all the extra-unnecessary things

I'm planning on posting in the Etam thread but I have not yet seen the entire video, but it looks like the swimsuit competition in a trailer park beauty pageant where half the contestants don't have swimsuits and opt to wear their skivvies instead. I do like the British pop element.

I'm sorry, but Adriana and KK, even when they were teenagers, NEVER looked as unappealing and boring as the teletuby trio. Adriana, even when she was very young, was drop dead gorgeous! The same unfortunately cannot be said about those girls. You could just tell with Adriana that she was special.

I know that for the most part those of us posting here are not old, old but we are old enough fashion wise to be kind of "fuddy-duddies" when it comes to changing times. If the inter-webs were as popular in 2002 or 2003 as they are today, I cannot believe that the reaction would be "yipee Karolina Kurkova is wearing the million dollar bra, and I am totally OK with an eighteen year old with a pronounced overbite getting to do this over Gisele, Tyra, Heidi, Karen, Stephanie, Naomi and Laetitia," and this sentence can be similarly reworked regarding Adriana opening the show.

I like Adriana and Karolina, but I think that the comparisons are apt, Karolina has the same farm girl look as Erin, with an overbite to boot, and I think that it is even easier to sexify Erin than young Karolina, and Adriana has a baby face like Chanel and can at times, especially in her early career, look vapid. I really do not think that Baby Adriana and Baby Karolina would have been universally embraced in today's environment.

In other words, y'all are just old and set in your ways.

Can't say i agree. I definitely think baby KK and baby Adriana held more sex appeal than some of these new girls.

Plus they really had model bodies - tall, lean, beautiful. I think Erin is the only real tall one among the new crop of girls. the others i'm sure are below 5'10.

And beauty is subjective, but KK (with her underbite) and Adriana (with her crooked hairline and baby teeth) were far more attractive (still are) in their baby days than some of the new girls.

I agree that beauty is subjective and that it is a subjective statement that Baby KK and Baby Adriana are better than Chanel, Erin and Lily. I stand by my point that in today's environment, if an eighteen year old, no matter how sexy she is or even popular she is, that when the news hit that a teenager would be wearing the million dollar bra in a show where established and super models are walking like Gisele, Tyra, Heidi, Karen, Stephanie, Naomi and Laetitia, that that move would be widely supported on tFS and elsewhere. Right now, there is enough discontent over Chanel closing the show and Erin getting good outfits. If VS still allowed models to walk before they turned eighteen, I do not believe that people would be pleased if Jac, after walking two or three shows, was given the Miracle Bra or opened the show, she is a good model and a popular one, but that would not be well received in a show that also had Adriana, Miranda, Alessandra, Doutzen, Maryna and Emanuela in its lineup.

I think young Adriana was absolutely wonderful! her face was unbelievable!

of the new models I like Erin because I think she looks like a typical model-tall, thin, beautiful face- , ****Edited **** Removing inflamitory remarks, per tFS Community Rules. Chanel is not very recognizable .. she looks anonymous to me, although she seems to make many HF runways.

So definitely the old models were better, absolute stunners!! Gisele, Laetitia, Heidi etc. ANOTHER LEVEL!
