we know the leaked footage is from the first show because of all the camera people present. for the second show, where the celebrities are in the audience, the cameras are less intrusive (plus they're aimed at the star studded audience)

Some of the runway pictures are on the site already, so they might be planning on doing it themselves closer to the time of the show. I just didn't feel like waiting to see if they would since I recognized most of the lingerie when the runway pictures first came out. I'm actually a VS consumer, so I pay attention to the products that are released, not just the models wearing it.

CBS doesn't need to switch opening segments. Most of the people watching the show won't be analyzing the strength of a Candice opening versus an Adriana opening, critiquing the model order, or dreaming of VSFSs of Christmases past. In all of the judging we do of the show in these threads, I think we forget that the show isn't for us, the difficult to please model watchers who break down every little detail of the show. It's for the average person who couldn't care less about most of the things we do.

For me personally, the suggestion to switch openings (not that I think they'd actually do that, lol) doesn't have to anything to do necessarily with Candice v. Adriana, or model order, or past VSFSs, but precisely with the types of things an 'average' person would watch for — Kanye West, livelier music, more overall energy.

I just think the Super Angels segment is more entertaining, Kanye/Jay are a bigger draw, etc. Although with these types of things, the 'anticipated' performers aren't usually put at the beginning, b/c they want people to sit through the entire show waiting for that performer to come on.

In the end, depending on how the show's edited, the ballet segment could be infinitely more interesting than what we've seen so far. And who knows what the televised adverts will focus on/use as a draw to get people to watch (admittedly I don't watch that much CBS, so have those started airing yet?).

I do remember seeing a 2008 or 2009 promo during thanksgiving day football. So maybe they will start that on thanksgiving.

People didn't start saying switch segments until they watched the handheld bootleg footage. As soon as the leaked footage came out, people compared it to either the following segment or to previous years saying they didn't think it measured up. The average person just isn't going to do that. They probably won't know when, where, or what Kanye is performing. They won't even know ballet is the opening segment. They'll be fairly oblivious, and that's all the more reason to leave the opening segment exactly where it is IMO.

And putting on my model watching judging hat, the opening segment doesn't even look bad from what I saw. It certainly doesn't seem to be dramatically inferior to the Super Angels segment which I find to be kind of overrated. After reading some of these comments, I was expecting something amazing based on what people in here were saying, and it's just okay IMO. Both segments are fairly equal to me, so I vote for keeping it the way it is.

just got done watching the unedited footage.....was Chanel drunk? jesus her walks were AWFUL. how she is an "angel" now is beyond me.

Lily A looked pretty awful as well.....this show just feels boring.

The only segment I liked was the aquatic one. Adam has a really high energy.
PINK was pretty awful, too many people on the stage! Niki acted like she was drunk(come on girl! get a normal attitude at least at VSFS, KIDS are going to watch this segment!), oh and poor Behati she could sue Niki and VS.
I liked how people were greeting Miranda and Ale.
Adriana was the boss there (just like always!).
Doutzen looked the best! She's a real angel!

I was surprised about Caroline B. Nielse, so cute, sexy and natural, not overreacting, also loved Karmen Pedarú, just beautiful, and Joan, you can tell who is High fashion model and who is NOT!
