Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011 - *Please see first post before posting*

I didnt like the show....I thought the editing was bad...too much slowmo for my taste.....The live music was good,but i didnt like the other songs......I thought it lacked energy,acutally it was like a documentary a boring one.,...i have no comments about the models ,i just didnt like the show.......they had some great elements but for me it didnt come together.

since the ratings are out, I have a feeling VS is going to have 6 performers next year for each segment lol. Kanye, Jay-Z, Maroon 5, and Nicki Minaj. How are they going to TOP THAT?! One or two amazing performers or a bunch of them? haha

I do have to compliment Lily A in the commercials. Homegirl looked so amazing. It's a shame she didn't come across that way in the show

I wonder if Lais will be the next Angel? I mean, she's absolutely stunning and they featured her in the beginning of the show! I wonder if she'll replace anyone like Chanel, perhaps? After Karlie got off the runway for the first time she said something like, "I did it! I'm an Angel!" Isn't that quite telling? Does that suggest she's already signed some kind of contract? I mean, they didn't edit that out and 'ordinary' models walking in the show wouldn't usually refer to themselves as angels?

It's pretty big to be included in the credits! I've got my fingers crossed for Lais, but I hope she doesn't replace Chanel.

Have you spotted the Photoshop "Oopsy" yet?

Why Victoria’s Secret felt the need to photoshop Candice Swanepoel in their ad for last night’s fashion show is beyond us. Furthermore, why they felt the need to photoshop her knee and/or lower leg is even more insane. Fine, smudge out that wrinkle of skin that so bothers the art director. Or add some shadow to her already infuriatingly sharp cheekbones. But mangling her leg so that it resembles nothing so much as a strangely shaped blob of skin? That’s just a waste of time.

VS LOOOOVES Karlie Kloss, and they made SURE that everyone knew it!, I'm happy!

This show was much better than the past two, you could tell that they're trying to go back to their roots from 2005/2006, especially with the commercials and the clips.

Joan Smalls was INCREDIBLE, so sexy.

I personally feel VS should not advertise their girls as the most beautiful women in the world I think they have great diversity in terms of beauty ;

Overall this year was underwhelming.. even the music selection was bad O_O

I wouldnt mind that. Shanina seems to have a lively personality, didnt think Id like her but I did.

Watched it too.

The opening and the segments put to me to sleep so I woke up at the finale since thats when it was high energy lol.

It's great to try smth new but sometimes good old classics are just the best. Think long straight runway, holiday themes, less concert & performers buzz and more models and runway walks, fierce strong opening of the show and so on. However it doesnt mean you have to give second life to almost same outfits, wings or copy your own - already amazing!- holiday commercial. Its done already and it was wow so leave it at that, come up with smth different but classy at the same time. Disliked that fact that they re-incarnated that commercial with 'love me, want me... '

Overall for me its on the same level as 2010.

Both are better then 2009 but not as good as 2008 and far from 2005,2006,2003 in my book.

Model cast was good. ( although I missed Edita, Magda, Rosie, Trentini and Poly).

The Asian girls were lovely too, Liu and Sui. Joan has a nice body, not a fan of her face though.

The rest was either just okay/good or did not stand out at all.

Oh and I didnt mind Anja. Yeah she would have been better with a better body but she was still nice. Plus she happens to have my fave outfit (the blue one in Ballet), soo pretty !

I recall the director of the show, Hamish, saying on YouTube last year that after the debacle that was 2009, the creative team decided it would be prudent to go back to basics...and guess what? The ratings went up. If they stick to basics, and having A-list performers every year, the show should be fine from hear on out. I really wish they get their ***es in gear when it came to the music, though.

Also, Joan stood out so much and she didn't even get that much screen time. Hopefully, they'll use her again.

LOVE:
* Doutzen comeback (and also Miranda). what a beauty is she, what a face.
i think Doutzen deserves more attention. Next years let her open the show of give her the fantasybra. Maybe she comes across as the quite one, but hell she is beautiful, and such a lovely person.
* Toni was amazing, what a sexy wink at the end! She has a great body.
* Bregje (no wonder vs wanted her for the show!) and Lily D.
* Karlie: I didn't mind Karlies dance. It shows self confidence and she got a lot of positive enerby. She got amazonelegs to kill for.
* Candice is beautiful, but the opening wasn't as energic as previous years openers.
* Adriana: what a bombshell.
* Joan: great body!
* Lui Wen: she brought a lot of energy and is very pretty. I do find Sui He more beautiful, but it lacks on charisma and energy. She was just being pretty.

Not loving:
* Lily A and Chanel: well, not so much.
Though Chanel was really cute, but it was just to much.
* Anja: really? She is imo not sexy and looked very tired.

Missed girls like Marloes Horst, Edita V, Milou Sluis, KK, Rosie, Natasha, and if Lara Stone would smile and looked happy at the runway also Lara (what a body!!!).

^ Forrest I agree with you- Marloes is such a natural for this show, she just jumped out at the Chanel St Tropez Resort Show, and I didn't even know who she was at the time! But Lara- I think CK gave her half of the company's bank account to be 'theirs'- I wouldn't expect to see her too many other places for a while...
