That's not on her IG. It's the wife of the trainer who is also Adriana's trainer when she's home in Miami. And that was taken before castings. I'm guessing she went and didn't make it.

oh damn. then Chanel got the Selita treatment too. guess we won't be seeing her anymore. I think it must hurt to have been at one point a contract angel & then to go on casting like any other model only to be turned down.

Yeah, we also saw similar posts from trainers regarding Bridget Malcolm and Gigi Hadid and we know Gigi didn't make the cut and have heard nothing about Bridget.
I wouldn't have minded seeing chanel. I think she grew into her looks and her SI spread was far sexier than anything she did as an angel.

I totally agree. i think it would be a really tough pill to swallow. if you got to the point of being an actual contracted ANGEL, then you've developed an intimately personal connection with both the brand itself and more significantly - the people who work for it (like Ed and Monica, etc). So, yeah ... it would be quite challenging to not feel personally hurt being rejected in this situation.
I do wonder if the door is ever "always open" for certain people. Like, if - hypothetically - Gisele wanted to do the show again. I can absolutely guarantee you that she would NOT have to go to 'castings'. But she's kind of an extreme example, because she's GISELE. What about someone like KK or Rosie?

I think the door is always open - they're wise enough not to burn bridges with the models - since they are aware that certain names draw news articles and reports, like Miranda if she ever wanted to walk for them again. So I think it depends on the model and I guess they feel Chanel doesn't have that kind of draw. But I hope to see Chanel, I really like what she has done this year with SI and I think she fits the show more than ever. I def feel like Cara has a spot reserved, I wouldn't be surprised to see her.
I always loved Chanel in her fashion work, but I felt that she never truly shined at VS. But her body is ON POINT now, she has an amazing walk, and I would really like to see her comeback in a big way and I think VSFS would be the perfect spot. She definitely is a better choice than Erin H.
I'm sure they'd gladly welcome Karolina anytime since she did walk the 2010 show after her contract ended in 2008. Not so sure about Rosie since she just kind of left to pursue acting and then she started her own lingerie line. Gisele has her own as well, but I mean the door is open to her anywhere in the fashion industry

I completely agree! I'd really love to see Chanel back this year. I think she looks better than ever. And definitely VSFS worthy! They'd be lucky to have her.
Not to mention that Yonce reunion would kill me, can you imagine if Beyonce was the artist this year? Think of all the photos of Jourdan, Chanel, and Joan with Beyonce, VS! That video was easily one of the sexiest things this entire year.

i find it crazy that they dont think Chanel is VS material when she did the show she was always one of the top trending girls, in fact i think one year she was the most trending. so she brings attention. maryna is another girl who i dont get why VS does so weirdly.
That would be amazing! The three of them could take to the runway with Bey and it would be the best thing ever. I think that's just our imaginations at work though...VS wouldn't give us that kind of treat

Chanel still does catalogue work for VS every now and then. There's models that do catalogue work for VS that don't walk for the show and vice versa.

I've seen recent videos of Chanel Iman this days and she seems more grown up and less annoying that her whole career, and her body looks decent, I wouldn't mind if she walks this year.
I know, what I meant by that was, if they can't give her a contract now they can at least get her for the show.
