I wish the casting video was longer. It's as interesting as the actual show itself!
I wanna see every girl going through the casting process actually. lol

hahaa I completely agree! i'd love to see a much longer casting video. like 20 mins of footage - including some of the things the girls talk about in the castings or what the feedback is and more of what Monica and John and Ed are talking about, etc etc. fascinating!

Taylor is a legitimate superstar. The only person who would've been a bigger deal is probably Beyonce, but she's not in promotion mode at the moment. Taylor just had the biggest album of the year in America. she's broken all kinds of records with it. And she had a MONSTER hit with "Shake It Off".

Plus, her album is actually really good (if you're a fan of acts like Robyn or Ellie Goulding, i genuinely defy you to not enjoy 1989). she has catchy songs that will be great to walk to and she's best friends with Karlie and Lily.

to me, it was a complete no-brainer that she perform again. and i'm completely in support of it.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, however --- i reeeeeaaallly think it should've just been her and one other music act. i am nervous about the fact that there are 4 performers for 6 segments. I don't see how it can all fit into 43 mins of television. i'll be extremely disappointed if the musical performances overshadow the models. it's just frustrating.

This is exactly what I came here to say, I had a hunch too that Taylor would be performing. Being besties with Karlie & Lily, the new album sold really really good, it makes sense.

I don't care about Ariana though. I haven't heard any of her songs, but I'm kinda happy it's not Iggy or Nicki because they are really annoying, singing about ***es. Maybe Ariana is better, we'll see.

Also I'm super excited about the red carpet pics from the after party, I can't wait to see what the girls will wear. I think I'm more excited about this than the actual show

Interesting to see the nationalities. Considering that the show is taking place in London its a little embarrassing that there's only 2 girls representing the nation, they should have held a casting call in London. Make some effort!

For me (& this is strictly my opinion!!) the weakest nation, as far as appeal, is the USA. None of those girls particularly has the VS look to me (I'm not counting Joan, sorry, she's from Puerto Rico and she's s*** HOT!). Their all very bland and lack the sheer sex appeal of some of the other girls.

I disagree with this. The show is 99% of the time in the US, if they had more US models there would then be EVEN MORE cries about the lack of diversity.
Discriminating based on nationality is at the core of the diversity issue often being brought up in the industry.

I would say racism but nationality and race are separate.

Agree, I still remember when Alek Wek, Omyahra and Ajuma walked the VS runway. I was like wow they are embracing a model who is bald or isn't Caucasian and doesn't have the long wavy hair, that's really brave of them.

I have to honestly disagree with this statement as i believe the American girls (ig. karlie, lindsay, lily and jacquelyn) each bring a certain value of sexy to the show. Specially karlie, that girls bory is amazing!! But i do agree about Joan Smalls. She should be representing puerto rico as a self nation, definately not american.

Thanks for posting the nationalities. Wish there were more models from Latin America, not just from Brasil. Would also love to see more diversity for Asian models, not just from China, although we just need more Asian models, period. More diversity please, VS. Lots of beautiful models across the world, not just Brasil, US and Europe. Would love to see some gingers, too, though that's a matter of hair.

Yay for Joan, though. PR babe giving me hope.

"Is Puerto Rico a country?" is one of those questions I imagine a talk show host asking random people on the street in NY to see if they know the correct answer or not.

I've noticed on the various forums I visit, that most people don't have an issue with the male performers but they have one with either Taylor or Ariana performing.
