They never cast any Ukrainian girls. I can't remember one Ukrainian girl that's ever walked the show. Nobody in recent years that's for sure.

But i do agree about Joan Smalls. She should be representing puerto rico as a self nation, definately not american.

I'm guessing since Puerto Rico is a US territory, and Puerto Ricans are US citizens, and the US President is the Puerto Rican head of state, she is officially American.

but Adam Hock was the only one charged and he plead guilty. The only person to suffer injuries was Pierre Casirighi. Everyone involved is trashy and entitled, IMO, but there is something extra pathetic about 50 year olds getting into fights with 20 somethings.

Either way, the point is that it has to sting Jessica Hart that Natasha was not only cast, but she didn't even go through auditions. Jessica shot herself in the foot by dissing Taylor, she probably thought she was untouchable, but this is insult to injury.

It's pretty clear that (despite Ed saying otherwise) VS dropped her after the VSFS last year due to that Taylor Swift bashing. And since VS was the only thing going for Jessica at that point, it's also pretty evident how her career has suffered. Now all she does is mostly low-level catalogue work, attending events, and calling the paps to take "candid" pictures of her.

^^^Yeah regardless of what actually happened, it has to be a bit of salt in the wound for Jessica. But I mean, I never really thought she had that great of a personality. Whereas Natasha--from what I've heard--is one of the nicest models.

Interesting to see the nationalities. Considering that the show is taking place in London its a little embarrassing that there's only 2 girls representing the nation, they should have held a casting call in London. Make some effort!

I bet they wish they had kept hold of Rosie H-W now! Since she's probably the most well known British model to the general public that's VS material.

I'm hoping since it seems they're putting a lot more effort into the UK that we'll finally get VS online shopping here.

I have mixed feelings regarding this year casting. It was clear obvious that Maryna and Edita would make it for me !

I still don't understand why they cast girls like Sigrid and Maud. They are perfect when it comes to HF and classic shows like Valentino and Nina Ricci but not for VS when we need feminine women who can ooze both sensuality and innoncence. They just look out of place on the runway even for the Pink section.


For the performers I'm glad they chose again Taylor Swift. I'm not listening at her music but I think

Really? Hm, my bad. I looked through her thread and saw zero VS work in the past year (since VSFS 2013). I guess no one posted her VS stuff then.

I think Sigrid fits VSFS but she was just so unremarkable last year. Maud is like Dorothea...way too non-VS AND they stick her in Pink to make it even more evident. at least someone like Anja or Lara were put in the main segments where they could fit in a lil better.

We know that Natasha was booked without necessarily went to casting and her picture on the board isn't from the casting.

But there are other girls whose pictures aren't from casting and we don't see them on video too lime Jourdan, Magdalena, Lais, Isabeli, Ieva, and Sui He. Does that mean they're booked exclusively too?

I think I saw Sui He in the video though, people are watching her walking from a laptop and somebody said: "she's so beautiful". They might be watching her casting video from 2013 though.

I don't think Lais, Isabeli, or Jourdan had to go to casting. So based on the pictures thing, I would guess that Magda (she did close last year), Sui, and Ieva didn't either.

These questions were asked over at BZ, and I decided to post it over here.

1. How long should a VS Angel/Supermodel remain with the brand before they leave for greener pastures?
2. How many Angels should there be in total? There is currently 8-9?
3. How many years should a model be able to walk the VSFS before they can no longer. New blood is always nice.
4. How long should the PINK spokesmodel remain in PINK before she's either fired, or moved to mainline?
