This was a few pages back but re: social media being blocked in China.
Lais has been in Shanghai for the last week, and has been going crazy on her snapchat and IG, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Even if VS doesn’t officially approve a VPN, I can see most of the girls working around it themselves.

Lais has a VPN, I saw it on her story where she screenshotted and posted her phone screen. (not from todays story, it was a few days ago) Hopefully the other models have a VPN too.

I guess they could also include a recorded performance of an artist when the show airs but eh... I doubt it. It's like when an artist is on tour and they do a satellite performance on an award show.

Funny that Gigi's tweet says she can't wait for next year,i.e. she knows she'll be offered a place again without effort. I hope VS extends the same privilege to the other girls that cant go if that's the case.

I live for this drama! Everytime I leave, I come back to another news. VS team must be going nuts. It's such a stressful situation.

Like missing Kate and Dasha wasn't enough, now Mayowa too?! I'm devastated for her. Also sad that Gigi won't be there cuz she's perfect for the show and I love her for VS.

About Gigi to me it's just a PR move for not having bad publicity and pretty sure it's not about visa denial , I think she would have been good for the show but with all the drama that happened she doesn't want to take an risk and she is right... And of course it's almost positive she will walk the show next year .. too bad for the russians
I'm wondering how VS will manage this because more than 5 girls missing is a lot ... and force them to reorganize everythings , I doubt they will give to some girls extra outfit from the girls who couldn't make it so I'm wondering if some next girls will fly to Shanghai
Ps : Jourdan Dunn being in Shanghai could be a pretty nice chance for them but I doubt it will happen and that she would accept it after what they did to her

They had like 60+ models and down 5... they still have a 50+ cast, I'm sure some will get the extra outfits especially since VS is only giving 2 outfits at the most in recent years and the rest just 1.

Plus it wouldn't be something new for the older angels who walked the show when they had just 30+ girls with 3 outfits each. They won't fly anyone in now, too late.

And as far as Jourdan... she can watch on the sidelines outside the arena, VS did nothing to her and don't owe her anything. Wasn't she the one who blasted them?

Also random question: is VS paying for the models' flights and hotel stays? Or are the models themselves paying out of pocket?

^Of course they are paying their flight+hotel. They all seem to be staying at the same hotel as well. that makes sense. Romee Strijd said on her Vlog videos that her boyfriend can't come because it's too expensive while she's being paid everything by VS.

I was thinking the same as you but it seems that angels are extremely well organized by segments so if you give them extra outfit it could mess up all the organization that's why I was asking ( would by just okay if they were just 2 girls with & outfit but they are 5 so it sucks and even more since Im pretty sure Gigi had more than 1 outfit) . I do really wonder how they will fix it or they will just cancel some looks

I think they could had some girls if they have their Visa ( a lot of fashion event and show this month in China so its quite possible)

And about Ms Dunn haha you can't deny that something shady happened and people seem to forget that there is no reason she would blast them for no reason I suspect that she got booked and then cancelled for no reason
But whatsover its the past , I was just saying that she could be a nice final addition to the show but its not going to happen and that she would say no

EDIT: Adriana will be in Shanghai, shes traveling later with her family. And Im positive Liu is either there or will be there soon, but as for the other two...
