Project Runway Season 9

This show and it's judging has gotten progressively worse since it's move to Lifetime, especially the crack judging. I especially don't remember the glue gun being used as much in past season's as it was in this one. As for last night's episode, it's interesting how Josh C's dress is the EXACT same design he did a couple of episodes ago. He not only didn't get called out for it, but won. He could have atleast executed (sewed) it better since all the dress is, is pieces of cut out fabric tacked on to a basic dress.

^I agree COMPLETELY the quality went down since it moved to Lifetime. The only positive that came out of the move was the extended episode time to 90 minutes. I think the reason the quality of designs has dropped is because they only get one day each challenge. Didn't they use to get two days a challenge in seasons past?

^^Menace, I disagree that they're not talented since they're not doing RTW already. There are a ton of talented people/designers, who for one reason or another have not been able to break through. Getting to RTW in NY is probably as much about actual design as it is about knowing the right people, being able to make connections, selling yourself, etc.

^Sure. If you're not good enough to get into a good school then you're gonna have to be more than a "great designer" ...you're gonna have to be a great businessperson.

And by "good school" I mean a prestigious school that can GET you connections.

And am I the only that didn't see anything avant garde about Laura's outfit?

there was NOTHING avant garde about laura's outfit. if the challenge was to create a lovely, modern red carpet gown, then she would have won hands-down. anya should have been in the top 3 instead of her.

josh c. was a waste of a comeback. i loved loved loved what sasha drew for him (i would have totally bought that painting) and it is such a shame she got paired with him because he came up with that. i don't want to destroy someone else's dreams, but i don't think this is the career path for him.

I only got into that show recently after avoiding it for years because I thought Heidi Klum would get on my nerves. I haven't really been impressed by anyone in this season, and I call BS on that chick that said she learned to sew in 4 months. Becky and Bert should be so out.

For some reason I thought the show started at 10 so I totally missed the first hour, however I caught the judging so I feel like I got most of it.

So Heidi called Josh out for not playing well with others in a sandbox. Fair enough. He's had problems with Becky and now Bert. But how can Heidi sit there and say this about Josh when her pet-puppy Bert has caused problems in every group he was in. First with Victor, then with Anthony Ryan (neither of whom has had any issues with anyone else) and now Josh. I'm glad the other judges brought it up, but still, he needs to be called out on it. He's the worst.

Loved the winning team's collection. That gown was by far my favorite. But in all honesty, the jacket was awful and I don't know why they all creamed themselves over it. The boob area of the jacket was all kinds of awkward and it just didn't look good.

Can't wait for the collections tomorrow.

Well the challenge is definitely an improvement from last week. The losing team prints were ugly and nothing redeemable about them. Even if they worked together from the very beginning I think they still would've lost. The losing team had better styling in terms of hair and makeup so all wasn't lost. I liked Viktor's dress and Anya's look the most. Bryce's design was weak.

I liked the winning teams collection. Not sure I would have given the win to Anya though.

It was Becky's time to go, but I was really hoping it was Josh. He is a drama queen. Because Bert used a bad word around him? Really? And the apology seemed like just another reason for some attention.

It's funny how the team challenged that Josh was being a bully to Becky, he gets praised for it. And this challenge were Bert was actually being a team player, the judges say he isn't a team player. I'm confused.

A collection inspired by the village people

Saw most of the collections shown this morning by PR contestants. Not impressed, I must say.

i'm not surprised. it's really a weak bunch this season so far, no one has any wow factor. There's no Rami, no Uli, no Korto - people who are consistently just good.

I liked the winning teams collection. But is it sad that I really liked how the winning contestants own clothes matched?

Finally Becky is gone. Props to Josh for being the quickest to know that Becky can't design.

Heidi still has a raging hard on for Bert. It's sickening.

OMFG!
I totally frogot this thread!

Joshua, leave that diva attitude! so tired of him, b*tch, shut up and stop crying, your taste it's very tacky!
Oliver jacket was one of the best things I ever seen on PR runway in a loooong time, you could tell me that was from Givenchy and I believe you, AMAZING.

Love this season, all the girls are leaving and one of the b*tches it's gonna win.

Oh it's about to pop off if that's a spolier and you forgot to white it out!

Nah, it sounds like speculation/wishful thinking to me. Have they even decided the winner yet? I know the finalists and decoys just finished showing at FW, but they don't pick the actual winners then, do they?

Holy crap, the runway collections are so amateurish. There was a whole lot of ugly going on. The only one that didn't look like student work was Bert's collection.
