I don't think there are too many alternatives for VS when it comes to great black angel material, so they kind of just have to go with the one who is semi famous. They are always trying to get the next Tyra. They tried it with Selita and failed, gave Emanuela a chance, Oluchi was thrown into the mix at one point, but it lead to nowhere. I feel like Chanel is a filler, until they find the next girl. Jasmine is just starting out. If Lais can improve her english then maybe she has some potential, but at this point only Joan is there that has that needed presence, but she has just begun with them. I always wondered as to why they never tried Jourdan or Chrishell??

Chrishell and Jourdan have both worked for VS so they have been "tried," as has Arlenis who IMO is, of the ones who has done significant work for VS, the one I see as having Angel potential. Has VS produced a great Angel for VS, regardless of race, since Adriana and Ale were made Angels? IMO other than Candice they have not. I am not prepared to state that none of the Angels who were anointed in the past couple of years may not come into her own a few years into their Angeldom like Alessandra did, but right now IMO they don't have anyone on their roster who is "great angel material" other than Adriana, Alessandra and Candice.

Lily is THE BEST in print but not on the runway, i WISH they would bring Izabel (she will always remain an angel in my heart) and KK back to Angeldom they were the real 'b*tches' and they own a runway when they step on it...

I dont understand why Jourdan hasnt walked in the show yet, imo she definately has angel potential, a lot more than Erin, Lily, Lindsay and Chanel...

I don't care I get excited every year for it ever since discovering it on TV in 2006, crappy or not. It's all about the editing...it's the studio version of that song, rather than the live out-of-breath performance, and the models are dancing to it, but we know Nicki Minaj was playing during that segment

i never actually met Erin but she is one of the sweetest people you will ever get to know, IMO. She is so down to earth. not fake like some of the other models.

I would add Miranda to that great Angel group. I was watching the LSU-Arkansas football game on CBS and a VSFS commercial came on. Chanel was mentioned along with Adriana, Ale, Miranda, and Candice.

I am with you on that one. Too bad Rosie left, her path was trending higher than Candice. Doutzen and Miranda are pretty good too, though I'd give an edge to Miranda because of her hollywood connection. They should promote Doutzen more, beauties like her are hard to find, plus she seems to have become more enthusiastic about the job after the birth of her son.

i feel they skip Miranda n Doutzen Since Candice n Erin are already set to be the Main two Angels (IMO)

Chanel well she is the poster for the "black Model" of the group.
the only lost i care about is for Rosie she really was everything an Angel should Have.the body,the face,the walk,photogenic,good age to start as a VS angel.

Erin i like her Body,really good body,but i think her face need to mature a bit more. ohh n she is America soo i guess thats good for her. not my favorite but ohh well.

n Candice well she is PERFECTION great add to the VS angel line up.

really exited to see if they will add more girls this year.

I think that's because Erin and Candice are younger than Miranda and Doutzen. If Erin and Candice stay the way they are, they will stay in VS for many years!

On the other hand we all know that Adriana's (i love her) and Ale's story is gonna end soon. So VS tries to fix everyone's attention on the new angels like Erin and Candice-IMO

I don't see why there's so much bitching about this. tFS may dislike Chanel Iman, but the rest of the world just sees a pretty girl and pretty girls sell lingerie well.

Race has nothing to do with beauty and appeal, because the average person will think that ALL of VS models are 'pretty', no doubt about it!
Race only becomes relevant when we're talking about political correctness and representation. Part of the reason why Asian, Black and Latino girls are cast is because VS wants to appear pro-equality and non-racial. But again, the girls are ALL pretty to the average consumer and therefore race has nothing to do with who buys what.
