I agree with Lamies022. We will never get a regular VSFS show like 2005 again when the models do their job and walk. I totally understand why CBS will never air a show like that again. But that doesn't stop VS from picking horrible music and bad outfits and CBS with their bad editing. The arm waving and air kisses are expected. But for me, this show was a disappointment for technical reasons rather than certain models and their antics.

If you venture your way onto youtube and look at the 2003-2006 era of shows.. hell even the 2008 show, you will see people complaining about the new shows. Yes they probably don't understand that VS needs ratings. But the comments about the models and the outfits and the music are spot on.

same here, of course 2003/2005 were much better because of the star power in them.
I think the shows lately are the only way to get the casual viewers to watch it without feeling guilty (if girls had plain underwear, people might call it indecensy, yes I am talking about you American mums...) so having costumes makes it easier to watch on TV I guess.

But this year had some big issues with the openening (First Angel is not a good opener, followed by Anja, Lily... you only breathe when Ale arrives and most of the models were just uninspired like Chanel or even Doutzen and Miranda who had absolutely no "spark"), the music was terrible this year, still too much light, we can see audience WAY too much, live singers who can't sing live, some wings were not working (Erin) and too many wings in general (who are the Angel in that mess?) and close the show by covering model's a$$ by a huge disco ball... yes lingerie show closing whith a huge disco ball a$$...

can't wait to see the full show to see if editing makes it better because casting was pretty good

^ Ballet isn't so bad once you ignore the fact that its an opening segment and you fast forward the cringe worthy walks of girls 3 and 5.

Watching those videos, OH god Lindsay Ellingson is SOO beautiful, but she definetely needs an Stronger walk... more presence, she's great though.

Its sad to see the models have become just extras in some of the segments, especially the Maroon 5 one. The entire audience was just looking at the band rather than the models. In the past with acts like Seal in 05, at least there was more emphasis on the models and Seal stayed in that one spot singing, not running around all over the place diverting attention away. But I guess also the selection of models/angels is nowhere near the level in 05, so maybe that has an effect? Lindsay/Erin are no Karolina/Gisele.

Now I think about it, the style of Lais' Ballet outfit is similar to Ana BB's in 2003 and Sesilee Lopez's in 2008. Lais' outfit is gorgeous though.

^ It does look like Ana's outfit, but more G rated. Ana's was amazing, with the blue train.

I really like Candice's walk and think she can open segments, but Superangels is definitely a stronger opening for the show. The music's fiercer, so are the outfits, and it's more jovial and fun. Ballet shouldn't have opened the show, but maybe they'll pull it off in the edit. I really liked Karmen's walk and outfit in Superangels. My favorite of that segment. I didn't like Anja's walk last year, but I do this year. Behati's always fun. Love her energy.

Anja had the best walk in the super angels segment. Loved her turn without actually posing. Karlie and Adriana had the best presence. Joan, Karmen, Shannan and Behati were good too. I liked how Karmen had this serious walk and then she gave a radiant smile when posing. Rest were forgettable.
