For me the cast looks more like a Givenchy line up than VSFS.
I'm really happy with some newcomers, I actually see potential, but the rest? A wet mop has more personality than many of them.

^yeah I am having the same problem as well. While I am super happy with the new girls that have been picked, it is such a young cast. Most of these girls are barely legal to even walk. No one outside of the the industry, let alone a lot of people in the industry, have no clue or barely any clue who a lot of these girls are. Most women watching are going to get why there are so many young looking girls in the line up.

I wonder why another model said she didn't get cast because she was too young while Taylor Hill is 18 I'm almost sure, and walking. . She is the youngest so far alongside Romee Strijd, Kelly Gale and Yumi Lambert (19).
I have made a list with each model's age to see the average age.

Edit : I forgot Imaan Hammam, she's also 18.

Let's be honest, except for Joan and Constance... Toni, maryna, izabel g, hilary, lily d, magdalena... hardly get work these days... They had their" biggest moment" 3- 4 years ago, but right now 90% of their work is commercial stuff ( hm, VS, Bloomingdales...) I don't see how they are the "top players in the industry" At this point, I prefer they choose models in their first/second season who are HOT right now in the industry than 30-year veterans who are fading out in high fashion industry and their future with the brand is zero. Yeah it's pretty nostalgic but it's a good idea to make new stars, so, I can see a business strategy with young models like Blanca, Romee, Sara, Taylor.... who could build their career with VS support (e.g. Adriana, Alessandra, Candice, Miranda...) and make them a household name like Adriana, Alessandra...sometimes change is for the better. That being said, I still would love to see toni, constance, maryna and magdalena in the show

You make a really great point, rockangel. I can't help but agree with you. But not 100%. haha. I definitely agree with the part that I underlined. And I hope that's what VS is doing. Because they do need some change. But when I had mentioned the "Top players in the industry", I wasn't referring to Maryna, Lily D, Hilary, Izabel, etc. I enjoy those models and have definitely loved seeing them at VSFS --- but specifically I was referring to people who are really huge RIGHT NOW. Like Joan, Cara, Liu, Karmen, Anna Ewers, Malaika, etc. Those are the girls that I think are missing from the cast.

Although the confirmation that Joan WILL be there is giving me spasms of happiness. haha.

At the model-packed WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards last night, five-year VS show veteran Constance Jablonski — who donned the heaviest wings last year — said she's excited to take the flight across the pond with her fellow VS pals, including Joan Smalls.

btw, izabel g (and her abs) is walking the show...not exciting for me.
